I grew up as one of four boys which is another way of saying I grew up around a lot opinions! As a result of this experience, I learned early on in my life to value diversity of opinion. I make a habit out of absorbing as many different perspectives as I can. It often means that the best part of my day is meeting new people, particularly founders and business owners, learning from their experiences, and expanding my own understanding of the world.
If I weren’t in finance, I would probably choose to be a journalist because I am naturally curious and am often consumed by a certain topic or idea. People gain a better understanding and appreciation when important issues and stories are brought to life through good journalism.
When I’m not working, I like to get out of the city with my wife and our flat-coated retriever, Nora. Nora needs a tremendous amount of exercise so you’ll frequently find me near a mountain or on the beach. I believe that getting outdoors, often, is the single best thing you can do for your well-being. Our dog would certainly agree.
